Fits chef's knives up to 19cm (7.5"), santoku, utility, paring and steak knives, and most bread knives. A 20cm chef's knife sits about 1cm proud. Won't fit 24cm chef's knives, cleavers or long Japanese knives.

This knife block accommodates 12 knives instead of the 6 my previous knife block held. It's solid and looks nice in my kitchen. Fits all my different kitchen knives without issues and they are easy to insert. I am using the 4 slots at the very top to hold steak knives which fit well there.

This empty knife block has space for eight knives. It is quite substantial and heavy, so not easy to pull over. White and bamboo would suit any kitchen décor, and it fits in rather than dominating a space.
Excellent knife block, it's very good quality. It's a got a decent weight, I wasn't expected it to be that heavy. It looks very nice too, good addition to the kitchen. Only downside is that it's not for long knives, it doesn't hold them well if they touch the bottom which is not particularly deep. Other than that, it's good
